Ok, HD DVD lost the high definition format war to Blu-ray. The good thing is that I got this HD DVD drive at a very cheap price (cheaper than the SGD$69.90 retail price) and it comes with the SGD$49.90 remote. Its was cheaper than buying one Blu-ray disc! Couldn't resist.
A cheap way to test the HD DVD quality on my 42" Philips and 37" Palladine LCD tvs although they only go up to 1080i and not full HD 1080p.
Fantastic picture and sound quality! What they say is true, once you watch a HD DVD, normal DVDs look awful. I bought 6 HD DVD titles each for the price of a normal DVD.
Only problem now is getting new titles.
